Missouri Mission of Mercy

The dentists from Foundations of Health Dental Care will be participating in a service day on August 16, 2019, at the Civic Arena in downtown St. Joseph at 100 N. 4th Street.

MOMOM, as it is referred to, is a large scale dental clinic providing free oral healthcare to all patients five years and up who cannot otherwise obtain care. As part of the healthcare team serving at this event and we are reaching out to our community to involve more volunteers. If you are a licensed medical professional, such as a physician, RN or LPN, we need you for medical triage pre-screening on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.

Please click on this flyer to enlarge or download and share.

If you are not a medical professional and are over 18, and would like to lend your time and talent, we also need community volunteers to set up the event, register people, escort patients waiting to be seen, translate, run errands, help takedown and more. If you enjoy good dental health and see your dentist regularly, please help us help our neighbors in need of dental healthcare. Community volunteers receive free t-shirts and meals while volunteering.

Volunteering at MOMOM

Online volunteer registration is now closed. They are still looking for sponsors and donations, please visit the website  for current information. If you know someone who could use these services, we encourage you to reach out to them and ask them to come to the pre-screening event on August 15 from 1-5pm at the Civic Arena.

This is a first come-first served community event.

The doors for dental care will open at 7 am on August 16, and we will be serving until we reach our capacity. The Dental Clinic will be providing these dental services: cleanings, fillings, and extractions for anyone in need that is five years or older.

If you are an adult seeking treatment and bringing small children with you, please also bring a young person, 16 or older to care for them while you are receiving treatment. There is a patient FAQ that would be helpful to read at momom.org, which explains, in greater detail, how this event will be conducted and what you can expect when you arrive.
